Do you want to become an interior decorator? Do you really know what an interior decorator is really about? You must be a bit confused about different aspects of an interior decorator. However I tell you that as an interior decorator your job will be just to decorate the area in best possible way for which you are hired and for doing that you should have flavor for colors and shear talent to manage all the decorating items in best possible way.

I once read about Linda who was a house wife. She often used to decorate her house during her free time.  She had really a great flavor for color. She once thought that isn’t it possible that her talent can turn into some sort of profession. While she was thinking this, she got a chance to decorate her friend’s house. She did a fabulous job. Her name spread out in all directions and she never looked back and got bundles of offers and she excelled in each of them.

All are not as lucky as Linda and they have to follow some steps to become an interior decorator. This field is now a professional field like engineering. You will be required to do some degree course which can be of four years of three years. Once you complete the course you will either be placed in some good companies through placement or will be placed after passing the exams.

You will get lots of work as an interior designer. You can even get a contract to decorate a mall or even airport. You can work independently or in some firm where you can show your talent. As you will grow and have some experience you will get even better chances. I assure you that you will only have to face problems in you infancy period. Once the infancy period is over, you will get bundles of opportunities and you will find it really very hard to choose from all the possibilities.

I must tell you that this is a very interesting field. You will have to show some patience in the beginning. Just tell me is their any field where you are directly able to earn profit. I know that your answer will really be no and there is no such field. So what is the reason behind your hesitation? I really think that you will really feel how good this field is and you will really be a beneficiary.

The starting salary of an interior designer is in the range of $22000 to $40000. However that interior decorator who has got vast experience can earn in six figures.  According to a recent survey conducted, on an average the interior decorator in US earns more than $40000 p.a. it’s really a great field.
