Java is a programming language which came into vicinity in the early nineties. At first it was developed to build the programs to automate electronic appliances then. It was then called Oak. However it was soon realized that java is architectural independent and can run in any environment. This lead to the use of java in building web pages since it can run in any environment. There are so many versions of java that you cannot really teach every each an every version. You will find J2EE, J2ME, and J2SDK and so on. More than 50 candidates were selected and I must tell you that they required even more. You can also watch the recruitment process of Accenture and IBM. Especially Accenture requires lot of java programmer. Till now I have only talked about big companies. However there is one problem with big companies. They normally have their own software which you cannot really say that it is java. However in order to work on that software you will have to get the knowledge of java.

As far as small companies are concerned you will find many companies who work on java. You are required to know the basics of java and command on any one technology related to java.

The salary of java programmer is also very good. They earn not less than $40000 on an average and they can even earn over $100000. Java is a very good language and you will find many times that you come up with really new thing. If you happen to do so then you really deserve to be a billionaire and I assure you that you can easily fulfill your dream and get much more than what you have dreamed for.
