Aptitude tests are meant to check mental ability on many grounds. It consists of set of multiple choice questions. A simple aptitude test comprises of following:

1.Test of reasoning and logic: Comprising both of verbal as well as non verbal logic. Verbal logic contains Para jumble sentences, analogies and so on. Non verbal logic comprises of missing pictures, odd picture out and so on.

2.Quantitative questions: This comprises of various mathematical questions like: number systems, HCF and LCM, fractions, simple interest, compound interest, profit and loss. Unitary method, work and wages, averages, shares and dividend, plane geometry, speed distance and time and so on.

3.Language skills: It can be English or some other language. But it will have following in common: comprehension, analogies, synonyms, antonyms, vocabulary etc.

4.General knowledge: This comprises of current affairs.
A simple aptitude test can contain 200 questions from different topics as stated above. All will be multiple choice one. The timing limit will be 2 hours and you will be required to complete in that time. Speed is very important in tackling aptitude test.

An average time which you can take while solving different topics questions are stated below:

1. Reasoning: not more than 20 seconds.
2. Para jumble sentences: not more than 60 seconds:
3. Vocabulary: 15 to 20 second only.
4. Analogies: not more that 10 seconds.
5. Non verbal logic: not more than 30 seconds.
6. Quantitative questions: depends upon the hardness of the question, one minute for easy questions and one and half minutes for tough questions.
7. Comprehension: not more than ten minutes.
8. General knowledge: not more than 6 seconds.

You can take slightly more time in some questions and more in some questions. But manage it carefully. Otherwise you will be not able to complete all questions.

You are not required to any places to give aptitude test. You can give them online. Make sure you are well prepared with all the above topics. Practice is very important as far as aptitude tests are concerned. You can keep a stop watch in front of you and start giving online examination. Actually stop watch is inbuilt in the computer but I wanted to emphasize on the importance of time. Give the online test again and again unless and until you are able to manage the time properly.
